Vatican TV relies on digital wireless camera to broadcast papal inauguration
By TVTechnology
published Vatican Television captured Pope Benedict XVI’s inauguration ceremony, including shots not normally available to television crews from restricted areas, using a digital wireless camera system.
Vatican Television relied on Link Research’s LinkXPR digital wireless cameras to capture the ceremony. The system made its first appearance behind Benedict as he stepped onto the balcony above St. Peter’s Square April 24.
Two LinkXPR cameras followed the pontiff as he was driven in an open-air vehicle through the square on his way to the Ceremony of Investiture.
