Verizon FiOS expands reach in Long Island, Rockland County
Verizon this week began offering its FiOS TV service to more consumers on Long Island and in Rockland County, NY.
The company is now taking orders for its fiber-optic TV service in the village of Laurel Hollow and the Town of Hempstead hamlets of Oceanside and Lakeview on Long Island, as well as in the Rockland County village of Grandview-on-Hudson.
The company already offers FiOS TV in several other Long Island communities where cable franchises have been approved, including Massapequa Park; the Town of Oyster Bay hamlets of Massapequa, Syosset, Woodbury, Bethpage, Hicksville, Jericho and Plainview; and the Town of Hempstead communities of Baldwin, Bellmore, North Bellmore, Merrick, North Merrick, Roosevelt, Seaford and Wantagh. In Rockland County, FiOS TV is already available in the villages of Nyack, South Nyack and Upper Nyack.
