Launched at NAB2006, OmniBus says its iTX system replaces all of the functions of a broadcast master control and play-out system in a single software-based application. The latest version of iTX--OmniBus iTX 1.2--adds capabilities for news production, handling both play-out and sophisticated ingest and editing operations. Version 1.2’s new features include advanced 3D graphics options, as well as multiple audio tracks for multilanguage applications, open and closed captions, HD ingest, MXF and GXF support, and live instant playback for news, sports and entertainment programs.
Also on the docket for OmniBus at NAB is OPUS 2. The company’s premier asset management system now includes “soft-XML” support for customized logging and annotation, frame-accurate proxy generation and viewing, full-text indexing and searching, seamless integration with production systems like Avid and Final Cut Pro, and standardized Web services data exchange with adjacent systems. OPUS 2 Smart Client is both Windows and Mac-compliant.
OmniBus will also show its OPUS News and Sports Logging system as well.
